Marcy Sands Blankenship

Since leaving Lincolnwood in 1965, I moved to Miami, Florida and lived with my family there until 1982. I attended the University of Florida and received a BA in History. I spent a wonderful summer in Europe in 1972, which began my love of Great Britain. My daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1977. My sister moved to Denver, Colorado in 1979 and that started the rest of my family moving out there as well. I moved to Denver in 1982 and started working various clerical jobs with the City and County of Denver and ended up with 22 years of service as an Administrative Assistant in Administration at Denver Health Medical Center. While working for the City, I met my current husband, Jim, who was also working for the City as a Zookeeper at the Denver Zoo. My daughter, Jennifer, is a nurse, married and living in Denver as is my sister, Julie, who is living here with her family. My brother, Ned, passed away in 1993. I now live in Denver with my husband and 2 cats and 3 dogs. We love to travel especially to England. We spent a month driving around all of England and Scotland and have been back several times.

Nothing much other than hiding in an equipment closet to avoid PE at times, but I am very thankful for the wonderful education and great start in life that I received in Lincolnwood Schools
