We saw Marlene (and Norman) many times when she was living in Boca Raton. She had the same birthday and Deborah, but a different year.  She was loving life and enjoying the sun, beach and warm weather.  Last time we saw her we went to brunch at her beach club.

She was trying to work through the health issues, but last year when Norman died it seemed to take a toll on her. She tried everything, and finally ended up in palliative care through Lake Forest Hospital.

It is sad when we lose a classmate, especially suddenly, or from disease. My last memory of Marlene in person was when she bought a white Jaguar convertible which she's enjoyed driving down here.

She will be missed, but I encourage all of you to reach out to other Jaguars from our class just to say hello when you can. I actually received a call from a Jaguar who I hadn't seen or spoken with in over 55 years. It was great sharing the memories.

When we get more information about Marlene, it will be posted.

Hi All,

It is sad about Bob Baim as well.  We are all approaching the age of 70 and we need to take care of our health. I was not friends with Marlene growing up. But she reached out to me last year for prayers as she was going to Johns Hopkins for a special treatment for the Cancer she had. I did not know she was in Lake Forest? I knew that she was trying all the treatments she could and the last time she reached out to me she was in Houston receiving another special treatment. Once COVID hit, I did not hear from her.

May she rest in peace. She certainly suffered a long time.

I have been in regular contact with Marlene the past year or two.. She was one tough cookie who suffered, mostly alone, with her puppy by her side, the last several months.  I will miss our Facebook conversations. May her memory be for a blessing.
